![]() The routing domain does not have to be a registered Internet domain or even in the format of an Internet domain. The routing domain is used to differentiate one customer’s users from another and is established during the initial setup of service with iPass. Datally (free) works better than iPass for me. A routing domain is required for iPass authentication. I am using the free Google 'Datally' app on my phone which both controls my 3G data usage and suggests local free WiFi hotspots with clear directions on Google Maps. I have been unable to find a WiFi connection and log in on more than a handful of occasions in around six months. = In practice I have found that I have not been able to use the iPass service at all in Turkey, Japan, Australia, Austria and the UK. We’ve built our global network from partnerships with more than 160 of the world’s best networks, and iPass SmartConnect helps us grow faster and smarter, by identifying and curating open hotspots. Appointment reservations can only be made online and available on a rolling basis up to 14 days in advance. When you call the customer support number, you’re met with an actual person who will listen to your queries. To get the number, you can go to the website and find the outlet closest to you. The customer service number is specific to the region that you are calling from. We are currently not accepting walk-in visits without a reservation. E-Z Pass has a customer support number that you can call from 7 am 7 pm. Account holders will be required to turn over their old I-PASS transponders. Customers also can visit customer service centers at tollway oases or the Downers Grove agency headquarters. This is what iPass say about their service: = The World’s Largest Global Wi-Fi Network With more than 64 million hotspots in more than 160 countries and territories, and inflight Wi-Fi on more than 20 leading airlines, iPass delivers simple, secure, unlimited Wi-Fi access for people, devices and things. Select Customer Service Center Offices Have Reopened An appointment-only reservation system has been implemented at the Customer Service Centers. To reactive an old account or to cancel one and reclaim I-PASS cash, drivers can call the tollway at (800) 824-7277 or (800) UC-IPASS. Nice idea, but doesn't work for me after six months of trying around the world.
